Katie Kemp, BSc, RVT

Hi! I’m Katie, a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Bioscience from the University of Saskatchewan and my veterinary technology training from Lakeland College.

I’ve spent the past five years working in emergency and critical care and am currently pursuing my Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) in Emergency and Critical Care. I’ve always loved the fast-paced, ever-changing world of emergency medicine and the opportunity to keep learning and growing within veterinary medicine.

Outside of the clinic, you’ll usually find me out for a run, exploring a new hiking trail, or spending time with my three cats — who would all very confidently tell you that they are the most important part of my life.

I’m a big fan of iced coffee, being outdoors, and finding the fun in whatever I’m doing. I love connecting with other people in veterinary medicine and sharing the knowledge and experiences that come from working in emergency and critical care.
