Hey! I’m Amber, the founder of probablyneedsCPR and a veterinarian currently completing my residency in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC). I graduated from the University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2021, followed by a small animal rotating internship and working as an emergency veterinarian before taking on my next adventure: residency!

I love the fast-paced, unpredictable world of emergency and critical care with particular interests in CPR and trauma. I’m equally passionate about veterinary education and sharing what I’ve learned along the way. Whether I’m teaching veterinary students as a sessional instructor at the University of Calgary or helping fellow veterinary professionals feel more confident in their CPR skills, I love making learning engaging, approachable, and (most importantly) fun!

When I’m not working or teaching, you’ll usually find me at a spin class, enjoying a concert, drinking caffeine in many varieties, or hanging out with my two cats, Lexi and Meredith. And yes, they are big Grey’s Anatomy fans, in case their names didn't give that away.
